Frequently asked questions

Yes. HTTPS is necessary regardless of payments. Google officially considers HTTPS a ranking factor — sites without it lose positions. Chrome and Firefox mark sites without SSL as "Not Secure", which scares visitors away. Any forms, logins and user data must be transmitted encrypted.
Let's Encrypt is good for simple sites. But key differences: 1) No financial warranty — paid CAs are liable from $10K to $1.75M. 2) Site Seal — official CA badge increases visitor trust. 3) OV and EV unavailable via Let's Encrypt — DV only. 4) 90-day validity — requires auto-renewal, site goes down on failure. 5) Commercial support — someone to contact with problems.
Wildcard (*.domain.com) protects all subdomains of one domain: shop.domain.com, mail.domain.com, api.domain.com — unlimited. Multi-Domain (SAN) protects completely different domains: site1.com, site2.ua, shop.net — up to 250 domains. Subdomains of one site — Wildcard. Several different sites — Multi-Domain.
Yes. Simply purchase a new certificate of the required type and install it instead of the old one. Technically this takes 15 minutes for DV or 1-3 days for OV/EV after submitting documents. The old certificate can be revoked or just left to expire.
From March 13, 2026, all browsers accept SSL certificates with a validity of no more than 199 days. If you buy an annual product — payment stays annual, but at least one free reissue will be needed during the year. We will send a reminder in advance. This is a CA/Browser Forum decision to improve security.
Yes. FOP (sole trader) can get both OV and EV certificates. Required: FOP registration documents and domain ownership confirmation. The process is similar to a legal entity. Contact us — we will help with verification.
